File a Complaint for Trash Truck Noise

Trash collection by private haulers is prohibited between the hours of 9 pm and 7 am in residential, special purpose, or waterfront zones, or within 300 feet of any of these zones. These rules apply to only private trash collection companies and do not apply to Department of Public Works vehicles. If you suspect a private trash hauler is operating beyond these guidelines, please submit an online complaint using the Consumer Protection Request Form. Trash noise complaints must be submitted within seven (7) days of the alleged violation. All complaints must be signed before any enforcement action will be accepted by the court.

NOTE: A trash noise investigation may take up to 30 business days to be completed.
